Features of Kalute dates

Kalute date or Kalite date is one of the humid or semi-humid dates in Iran and has relatively moderate sap. Kalite dates have soft meaty texture and are easily chewed in the mouth. The Kalote has a rough appearance similar to the Mazafati dates, except that its texture is slightly stiffer. It also has good quality, and is one of the most important commercial varieties.

The taste of kalute is excellent. That is why it is well known among the people. It is also interesting to know about the palm characteristics of this date palm, which is one of the most prominent roles in palm date and in Jiroft region of Kerman there are many palm trees cultivated with high height palm also because of palm date. Interesting taste has easily opened its doors to people and is a good sell as a delicious date.

The dates vary from 2.5 to 3.5 cm in height, depending on the location of harvest. Generally, the moisture content of date palm varied between 14% and 22%, again depending on the climatic conditions of the crop and harvest time and the quality of date palm.

Dates are consumed in various ways, after which they are washed to serve as a snack, snack or by removing the kernel and preparing the dates in various forms. It is used in many cakes and snacks. The juice of these dates is also used in the production of beverages and industrial alcohol and is a very useful date.

Harvest time of Kaloute dates

Harvesting begins from the beginning of September and it continuous to the end of September. These dates, along with the Mazafati dates in the holy month of Ramadan, are the best selling. For this reason, the price of this date in the blessed month reaches the highest possible.

Packaging of Kalite dates

Today, all date palettes are sold in different packages in many countries.

Due to its high quality and relatively reasonable price, Kalute dates always have a good domestic and international market. These dates are marketed in bulk packaging (5&10 KG) or in consumer packaging (250 gr to 1000 gr). Due to the humidity of the Kaloute dates, it is recommended to store it in cool temperatures after harvest. The best temperature for storing dates is below 5°C. It is advisable to keep these dates in sterile and hygienic environments.
